Some users want to share financial dashboards with users with non-financial roles. They want to do this without having to assign a financial role to the users. Is there a way to view reports without editing permissions?

To share dashboards across different roles with varying permissions, users can utilize the share function of the MSPbots dashboards where there are options to share reports via JPG, PDF, or shareable links. 

This article discusses the following as a way to share financial dashboards with non-financial admin users: 

Before you start, make sure that you have the following:

  • Access to the MSPbots Dashboards
  • The email address to where the reports will be sent
  1. Go to Dashboards and search for the dashboard that you want to share. 
  2. Click on the ellipsis icon and select Share from the options.

  3. Click the Copy button to copy the URL for sharing.

  4. Click Save.
  5. You may now share the link via email or any channel. 

How to share a JPG or PDF copy of a dashboard 

  1. Go to the MSPbots Dashboards and select the report that you want to send.
  2. Click on the ellipsis button on the right, then click Share.
  3. On the Share Dashboard window, go to the Snapshot tab.
  4. Enter the recipient's email address.

  5. Click the Setting button to set the frequency for sending the report. Click Save.
  6. Select the JPG or PDF file format. The JPG format is selected by default.

  7. Enter a subject for the email. You may add a message as an option.
  8. Tick the Include a shareable link box if you want to attach the link. This will automatically insert the dashboard's URL in the content field.
  9. Click Update. This will expand the Scheduled section at the bottom of the window and display the records of the email settings. The system will now periodically send emails to the specified email address and according to the set frequency.
