The Accounting Mapping feature allows users to display and map their chart of accounts in MSPbots, and use it to create widgets, bots, and dashboards. Only users with a Financial role can use this feature.

Requirements

The feature requires data from any of the following accounting Integrations -  (Quickbooks Online and On-Prem, Xero).

Use

1. To access, go to Settings > Accounting Mapping.

2. This will take users to the Accounting Dashboard where they can do the following:

  1. Use the data from the integrated Accounting Software like Xero and QuickBooks, and select a Financial Statement to map between Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
  2. Review all sub-accounts that are displayed on the left-hand side.
  3. Select a Mapping Template. Commonly used are SLI and Bering McKinley. Users can also create new templates by clicking on the Edit Mapping Templates link on the upper right corner of the dashboard (Please let our support team know that you have created a Mapping Template so this can be integrated into the Mapping data).
  4. Categorize sub-accounts by dragging them to the mapping template.

3. To use the mapped accounts in widgets, select 'mapped' Dataset:

Then select Map

Notes:

Current selection is available currently for Income Accounts. We hope to add Balance Sheet items soon.
