A target card widget allows the user to take snapshots of a selected measure; the frequency depends on the user's preference. This article shows how you can create a target card widget.

To create a target card type widget:

  1. On the MSPbots menu, navigate Log in to MSPbots. Navigate to Widgets and click the New Widget button.

  3. When the Widget Builder window opensappears, go to  Basic Setting. Provide and provide the following and click: Apply.
    • Name - Give the widget a Name.
    • Description - Provide a short Description.
    • Role - Select User and/or Admin.

  4. Click Apply
  5. Next, go Go to Dataset. Click and click the + button and add a New Layer.

  6. Select New Layer on the window that appears. This step opens the Dataset window.

  7. Do the following on the Dataset window:
    1. Select a dataset to use.
    2. Add columns by selecting an option from the Column Name dropdown list and assigning an Alias and Business Type for each. Click the + (plus) button icon to add more rows.  
    3. Add filters, measures, and dimensions.

  8. Click Save
  9. Click Apply. This will show a preview of the target card that you created.
  10. Go Next, go to Config. and provide data for the following fields:  
    1. Fields select - Select the measure that you would like the target card to show. 
    2. User , select - Select the KPI or metric owner name on from the dropdown list. Once Selecting a user is selected, this will activate the widget and will start taking a snapshot of the target card. If left blank, it will not record any snapshot.
    3. Refresh Cron, select - Select the frequency on how often you would like for the widget to take a snapshot of the target card.
    4. Benchmark, set  - Set the target score of the widget.
    5. Last Days, set  - Set the number of days to limit the graph dimension.
    6. Header Text, set  - Set the measure label.
    7. Trendline, select  - Select a preferred trendline on the dropdown list, if necessary.

  11. Click Apply. This will show a preview of the target card that you created.
  12. If you need to want to change the text or background color when the fields and measures meet specific conditions, set a conditional formatting rule on for your target card, you may go . Go to Conditional Formatting and add rules to make thefields and measure's appearancechange if they meet certain define the conditions. Once a rule has been set, click Apply on the widget rule window.

  13. Lastly, click Apply on the widget to show a preview of the target card.
