Using ETL on Dropbox files for MSPbots Datasets

1. Go to Integrations 

1. Locate for the Dropbox integration 

1. Click the Sync button 

• Important: This and the next steps require Dropbox login. Log in to Dropbox before you proceed. Dropbox will prompt to authorize MSPbots to pull data. Click Yes, authorize MSPbots.  

1. You will see a message saying that you have successfully linked Dropbox. Click the Save button. 

Adding a file 

1. Go to integrations 

1. Locate for the Dropbox integration 

1. Click the ellipsis button then the Files option. There’ll be a pop-up window that will appear 

1. Select the user that has the CSV file in their profile 

1. Enter the file name in the File name field then click the search button to search for it. You can also search the file using their file extension. If the file extension of the file is a csv then you can search for *.csv and it will return all of the csv files that the user has. 

1. Click the file that you want to get converted into a dataset. 

1. Click the Save button. 

Note: As of writing, the dataset creation is manually done by the Data Engineers, but our Devs are in the progress to automate this.  

Please send a support ticket requesting to convert the csv file to a dataset.
