Team members can log their attendance on MS Teams instead of using the Attendance Dashboard buttons. This page lists the commands that you can use to log attendance via your team's channel or chat in MS Teams.

BREAKThe BREAK command updates your status to BREAK to start your break time.

BACKThe BACK command updates your status to IN after your break/lunch.
STATSThe STATS command gives your current service stats as a technician.
ONSITEUse the ONSITE command when providing onsite service at the client's location.
WFHUse the WFH command to log in when working from home. 
PTOUse the PTO command to apply for Personal Time Off via MS Teams.

How to use the chat commands

Open MS Teams then go to your team's chat or channel and type the appropriate command. 

Example: 

Type IN to start your workday and press ENTER on your keyboard. Suggestions will appear as you type.

This process will explain how to use the Attendance Bot - Teams chat commands to any team channel. Listed below are the commands that can be used;

The purpose of using Teams Channel or Chat, is for all the team members to know the statuses of each member when they type in break, lunch etc... under that Teams channel.

Pre-requisite: 

  1.  Already installed the MSPBots Teams App
  2.  Already setup a Team Channel or Chat.

Installation / Activation Procedure: 

  • Click the Apps icon on the Teams app and look for this MSPBots icon;

  • Click the dropdown list and select Add to a Team or Add to a Chat

  • Key in the team channel or chat you want to install the MSPBots app
  • Once selected, click the Set up a bot icon.

  • Check the team channel or chat if the MSPBots bot has been successfully installed.

  • To run the command, type in the chat box @MSPBots... and select it or press Tab, a new pop-up will be displayed showing all available commands. 
  • Select the activity you want to do and click the send icon OR just press the ENTER key.
